Marseille is very interested in the 2005-born Carboni, but the two sides have not yet agreed on the terms of the deal.
Carboni, who is currently competing in the Copa America, is also a recruiting target for the De Zerbi team. Marseille recently made an offer of a loan plus an option to buy out, an offer that failed to convince Inter despite the buyout clause being mandatory in some cases, and the amount of the buyout fell short of Inter's expectations.
Inter are not willing to let Kaboni go on loan and are insisting on the correct amount and form of the deal before they can consider completing it.
